I'm still Lost - end of series, but not the end of confusion

Lost the Series is Over. the last of the 114 episodes made left a lot of people wondering, and asking questions.
This is of course the reason why i never got into watching this intriguing but stupid series. I became aware after the second episode already (first season), that it was just another x-files type mystery soap opera which would leave you believing in the promise of an answer to some of lifes inner mysteries.

But no of course not.. how could a horde of  Hollywood soap opera moguls know about spiritual truth, or even making a consistent plot and outcome to a six year story.

Lost is what i am when it comes to Lost the series...

Here is what happens in the end

Jack Shephard saved the island. The abandoned jetliner then takes off with many of the other castaways safe on board. Back at home, everyone gathered for what appeared to be a funeral reception for themselves.

During the reception, Jack reconciled with his father, whose body he had been bringing back from Sydney when Oceanic flight 815 crashed on the lost island at the start of the series. 'I don't understand,' said Jack. 'You died.' 'Yes, I did.' 'Then how are you here right now?' 'How are YOU here?' his father replied 'I died, too,' said Jack, beginning to weep.

'That's OK, son.' 'Everyone dies sometime, kiddo,' his father replied. But what does it all mean?
