Google Vs Stumble Upon

Many People on Google's Webmaster Central are saying that they cant find their website in search results, despite the fact they were previously on first page. This assumption is understandable, but actually erroneous, due to the radical changes Google has made to its algorithms and ranking criteria;

what i can tell you, is that after google's latest algorithm changes,  my website http://thailand-amulets.net seemed to have disappeared in my search results in google.th when i searched for it
i went nuts trying to find out why
I wrote to google in webmaster tools and asked for reconsideration
they replied that nothing is wrong except perhaps some algorythm changes may have moved the site up or down

after some serious searching using the other nations google search (espana, france, canada, USA, Hawai, Jamaica, Singapore, Malaysia etc
I found that i am still on first page

i also open it in chrome, firefox and IE explorer and the results are different
if i clear all cookies and block googleupdate.exe from sending all my personal surfing info, then the results are once again different

basically google search is not a true search engine anymore in the sens of searching and showing what general results are

its all personalized.. kind of like 'stumble Upon dot com'

which is of course like saying google has decided to become a personal search widget tailored to give you what you normally click on as the top results, instead of what the whole world would see if it was not tailored to fit you

stumble upon lets you tailor your interests manually by free will
 google just spies on your surfing habits and then stuffs its affiliates or paid ads into your face, or tailors it based on the assumption that it knows what you are searching for

this is great for consumers.. the kind of people like rich middle class wives with the husbands credit card looking to shop

but for a webmaster using google search to check rankings or competition
 well.. it has become like trying to slice bread using a tomato as a knife !

you cant see any general results anymore

conclusion;
google has just signed its own death warrant as the number one search engine, and is on the way to becomong something half way between facebook and stumble upon (see google plus)

i am convinced that google has just really messed up its future in the long run as number 1 search engine, but then maybe still successful as a consumer social search fun tool
